The people of New Mai are in the process of adapting to a new living style. The village is covered by a variety of colorful rags and thin blankets to keep the sun away. Most of them sleep during the day and go about their lives in the night. The night has never been prettier than now, after the Polar Shift. With the electricity gone and earth’s magnetic shield weakened, the sky becomes a spectacular lightshow almost every night. Over a shining curtain of millions of twinkling stars, the aurora borealis dances with newly found
powers at the setting of the sun.
